My name is Emily. I love being a potter — I truly find myself through this art medium, time and time again. If you enjoy any of my pieces, I hope you will decide to add one to your home, office, getaway place, or anywhere, really.

A piece of ceramic art is a true collaboration between the hands, the clay, the kiln, the glaze, and the universe. Starting with a ball of clay, it is nearly impossible to know with an exact degree of certainty what it will become — the whims that influence the shape of the design, the art on the surface of the clay, happy accidents along the way, and how the final glazing all work in tandem together is a mystery that unfolds in the process.

Even the masters can’t be 100% sure at the start (at least that’s what I tell myself). Regardless of the outcome, to find myself in the process is humbling and inspiring. Pottery is to be shared, held, observed, used, and above all…loved. It is, perhaps an artist’s most tactile medium of expression.
